NTL email log in problem on apple device due to new log in authentication

Sigh... I've seen the many posts over the last couple of days so 'glad' that I'm not alone with the problems of getting into NTL email accounts. I have managed to do the new authentication and can access my emails through webmail. However, my problem is that my emails do not come through to my apple devices anymore due to this change. The virgin advice from years ago is to generate an 'app password', which I believe is the four words with a 'dash' in between in each one. The problem is that this seems to have disappeared from the menus during the introduction of the new authentication.

So my question... how do I get my apple devices to access the virgin/ntl emails... my email address is the user name but what/where do I set/generate the password for this!

Cloggie1  The menu item you want has moved:

To create an email app password or update an existing one you need to follow these steps:

Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
    Select Account Settings
    Select Identity & Security Settings
    Select Manage your products
    Select Manage email app password
Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'

Make a note of the generated password.  This is what you use in the mail apps along with the vm email address as the username.
