We are aware that some customers are experiencing issues with their email service and are very sorry for the inconvenience this is causing. Our teams are working flat out to fully restore all emails as soon as possible.

Update 13/07/23 - This has now been resolved. If you are still having issues, please make your own separate post giving as much detail as possible.
Although it appears that all of my historic emails have returned the information that I had stored in Notes on my iPhone are still missing.
I have just checked my iPhone Notes again and happy to say that they have now been restored.
Still no email for me since Wednesday which is 4 days ago now. This is just unacceptable.
Message reads "Connection error - this service is not available just now" No problems reported on Service Status?
Please advise/inform.

is it me or is the " VM community " deliberately trying to make it hard to find posts about the dreadful email service or is it just the dreadful search engine ?
It's definitely not just you.
Previously when you logged into Community, there was at the top of the page, a straighforward drop down menu of all the forums/sub forums to view, click and visit. Same as literally 99% of forums anywhere online.
But now ?
In order to reach a set forum - unless someone knows better - this is the convuluted approach - the only one I can see at least - to get there >
From the Community Activity start page click
1. Start a conversation.
2. Select a board
3. Then at the top of the page - above 'New Message' finally you see the sub menu links to each main and sub board.
4. It's not emboldened or enlarged to make it instantly clear. You THEN have to ignore writing a New Message (which is where you started) and finally using their intentionally small links above "NEW MESSAGE" click on the board, and then sub board you want to view.

Anyone would be forgiven for thinking that they really do not want to hear from us. Hardly surprising given their less than stellar performance in so many areas..for me/us here - particularly in relation to Webmail constant outages.
It certainly is not a community which encourages ease of access anymore. You could be forgiven for thinking that they don't want people finding their desired destination, as they know all too well that a vast percentage are NOT going to be happy customers.
Strange how this new layout to a basic forum homepage has become so convuluted ever since they really began their nosedive in terms of outages and faults becoming the almost daily large scale norm on one service or another across huge swathes of the UK.
Maybe I'm being cynical though. Perhaps they are just shy, and not comfortable with visitors 😒
I can collect and send email through my client, Mozzilla, but cannot through the My Virgin Media web page, I get the message "Service unavailable". I need to access the spam folder settings to whitelist instagram as I need to reset my password, all of the password reset emails sent to me are not arriving, so I can only assume that they are going to Virgin spam.
I made a wise decision a few years ago when, unbeknown to me, VM changed its SPAM filter. I was sent an order for some books, and only discovered this by accident. VM's new (worse) SPAM filter had decided this genuine order was SPAM. It sent other genuine Emails to SPAM as well.
I immediately turned off the SPAM setting in my webmail settings. Since then, all SPAM drop into my MS Outlook inbox, which means that I decide, not VM.
Even today, VM periodically marks genuine Emails as <SPAM>. I delete any real SPAM and use MS Outlook's "Block Sender" facility in order to reject anything from that sender again.
Same here... cannot get on to email..."Connection Error"...
More essential planned work.....?!

My blueyonder emails are now back. The question I still have is;
Why were they taken down overnight without any warning?
48 hrs now and the limited service I had, without historic folders being returned, is still not available. I hope someone is getting fired for this shambles. I hope I don't have important emails that I need to respond to disappearing into this abyss.
Cannot get on email this morning and my facebook and linked in accountshave been hacked ( coincidence???? data breach?????) I need access to my email to reset passwords etc.
Can't get into my emails again this morning "service not available right now" This has been happening on and off for the past few weeks.
Apparently back now, but of course, no explanations from Vm.
Do you expect one? You are only the customer who pays for a service which is unreliable. How very dare you?
After stopping customers creating new email addresses is this a backdoor way of getting customers to move to a different email provider?
I haven't had any access to VM email via the web since 20/07/23. I have raised this via phoning them and repetitively via the forum. There are many people having problems with email but no concrete answer from VM. Instead, they seem to like to post that the problems have been fixed, even though they clearly haven't. I've also started to get scam emails about the service and how if I just click on this offer, everything will be fixed... Funny how the scammers are on to the VM problem but VM can't seem to sort it out.
I meant 20/06/23, but the VM email problem is getting to me that I feel like it's never going to end.
And, guess what...

So, try to log in this morning and...'Connection error, -- the service is not available right now'
Whole thing is a disgrace. Was s.....l....o....w.... for the last week or so, and now. Gone AGAIN.
So much for Axel's promises. Hacked AGAIN VM?? PLEASE, tell us the TRUTH.
Downdetector showing ANOTHER massive outage... £140 a month, for a servise so shoddy, any THIRD WORLD country would be ashamed!!
I've had no second account since they returned the historic emails and full functionality, to my primary account overnight Friday/Saturday. 2nd Level Helpdesk admitted they can't do anything about it because no one's telling them what's going on. They changed my passwords so nany times in an attempt to fix things, I doubt if the a/c will ever be retrievable, lol. Virgin's credibility must be shot by now. I know in some areas they still offer the fastest speed but, in all honesty, how many of us really need the speeds they offer and, personally, resilience, robustness and reliability far outweigh speed on my list of priorities.
