Gmail not recognising Ntlworld.com

Anybody else had this problem. Gmail tells me it doesn't recognise the Ntlworld part of my email address,  that's my Gmail and my wife's

    Welcome to the Community Forums. 

    Sorry to hear about your email concerns. We were aware of an outage affecting customers with an email address on the NTLWorld.com domain who could not send or receive emails.

    This has since been resolved as of 6pm last night, so please do let us know if you're still having any issues at all or if you have any further concerns.

    I'm still having problems, yet you say it was resolved as of last night?!  I asked my family to send me an email but I didn't receive them, I asked a company to send a pre paid label for a return, it didn't arrive.....When I phoned Virgin Media this morning, I was told that the problem is still ongoing so now I'm confused, please can you help?

      Thanks for coming back to us littlewren, we understand that the issue with NTL World account was resolved at around 6pm on Wednesday (09/04/25)

      Do please confirm if this is still ongoing, and if any alternative domains owned by Virgin Media that are applicable to your subscription are effected.

    Hi David, no I'm still not receiving all emails, the odd one or two every couple of days makes its way through, that's all. I asked a company to send me a label, they tried twice but it didn't come through, they used a different email address, still nothing, my families emails aren't coming through either. I also tried sending an email to myself using one of my other addresses, nothing came through but there was a 'could not send' email that came back a couple of days afterwards, I think the error code was 73137. I have done nothing to my emails that would explain why I'm not getting them all. Please can you help before I go insane? Many thanks.

    Apologies, the error number on the odd email that comes back when I try to email myself from another address is 3137.  The problem is still there, please can somebody help?  I spent nearly an hour on the phone when it first started and was told that the problem could take 3 days to fix, that time is up and other people seem to have their email back again, but I don't.  Some of the emails that I imagine should have come through to me and haven't, are important, and I'm not getting them! I'm getting an odd email to a couple of my addresses over the course of a couple of days, but that's it.  I don't know what the last paragraph of your message means, but I imagine that's a no.

    Something I've noticed is that while I'm on my pc, I (very) occasionally see the little box that comes up on the bottom right of my computer informing me of new mail but when I go to my inbox on Outlook or log in to VM to view it, it's not there!  So where is it all going and why isn't it coming to me?  I haven't changed anything or done anything different at all.  Nobody on here seems to be willing or able to help me, which is really disappointing.

      Hi littlewren,

      We're sorry to hear you're still not receiving some emails. 

      Just to clarify for us please, are these all NTL world email domains? Are they all linked to current active broadband accounts with us? Please pop back to us when you can.

        Hi Vikki, I'm getting mixed up with the posts, sorry I missed yours. Yes these are ntlworld.com domains and all linked to current broadband account with you.

      Just a few thoughts on finding out what's happening with your account:

      1) "the error number on the odd email that comes back when I try to email myself from another address is 3137"

      I cannot find any mention of that error code anywhere so it would be helpful if you could either post a screen shot of the full error message or post the full and exact text of the error message. (But don't post any email addresses.) The full message should  give everyone a bit more of an idea of what's going wrong.

      If I was seeing that message I would check in my VM webmail account to ensure that a hacker has not set up a filter rule to delete incoming emails from the account or to hide them in some way.

      To do that:

      •  sign into your VM email account,
      •  click on the cog symbol to open the settings
      • then click on "Email" from the menu on the left
      • then on "Filter rules"

      If there are any rules or an auto forward there that you don't recognise you need to update your VM email password straight away.

      I don't know if you have seem my post on the other thread regarding ntlworld emails still not getting through. If not it might be worth checking it out to see if it's relevant to your situation
