Sending to my ntlworld email bounces with recipient's domain does not exist - [logged under F011775373]

Several people have reported (and I've just tested) that sending an email to my ntlworld acount bounces with:

Your message couldn't be delivered. The Domain Name System (DNS) reported that the recipient's domain does not exist.

I can log into my email as normal and can send from the account. Anyone else having this and any ideas and when it might be fixed?

    Hi,  This is currently a problem for my email ntlworld address too.  The sender  is receiving the same  delivery has failed message saying the DNS reported that the recipient's domain doesn't exist.  Please could Virgin fix this problem.

    My wife and I also have the same problem.  Not sure whether it is all incoming emails to our ntlworld email accounts - some advertising is still getting through.  We know that emails from people with outlook email addresses are not getting through.

    My daughter also has the same issue with emails from an outlook email address to her ntlworld email address failing.

    Same here,can get in OK but when sending to my ntlworld email it bounces as stated by OP. I sincerely hope this is not another Virgin Media data breach, been there before. Sent from both an outlook account and work outlook account, same result.

    Yup I have the same receiving emails from two different external email addresses to my ntlworld email address. Nothing in spam or junk either. This is via the VM web portal too.

    Update * The proton mail test email eventually arrived but the Gmail test email bounced with the message "The response was:

    DNS Error: DNS type 'mx' lookup of ntlworld.com responded with code NXDOMAIN Domain name not found: ntlworld.com For more information, go to https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadRcptDomain" 

    Update 2: The ntlworld.com domain is clearly having problems

    Same here.  I guess it's everyone.  I can't transfer money to one of my bank accounts as I need to enter an emailed code.  This is a serious problem.  I hope it's being looked at urgently.

    My wife tried to forward a message from her gmail and it failed - also reported the ntlworld domain doesn't exist

     I am having the same problem with all my @ntlworld accounts.

    @virginmedia seem ok.

    Can  VM CS please advise when services will be back.
