      Folk "buy" into conspiracy theories simply because they can.  They're an extension of "marketing".  As for licorice, just don't consume it in industrial quantities.  When the £ shop opposite the post office was open I used to buy the occasional bag myself.  Then they got some Finnish "soft eating" stuff in, so I tried a bag.  It's really addictive.  The red licorice was even more addictive.  I once drank 19 cans of cola in a space of a few hours.  I stayed awake for two days straight... never again...

        You could have died. I used to drink Pepsi Diet as an alternative, got used to it, liked (loved) it, then found my two front-teeth had dissolved at rapid decay-rate in a few years.

        Soft liquorice..."pah" (new word). Marketing conspiracies is possible, such as Illuminati stuff (YouTube-esque).

    Can HIGHLY recommend "The Bridge" and "Spiral". Two very intelligent and well thought out cop shows. They arent like
    British and American rubbish they are well thought out and highly entertaining. The Bridge is Danish, Spiral is French
    both subtitled, on BBC Iplayer
