Red light on Hub 3

I've had a red light on my hub for about a month. After speaking to the support and doing all the usual things they ask you, turn it off, reset the hub, check the wires are connected etc. It still stays on from the moment you switch it on.

Was told by support this isn't fault, it's stand by?

Thanks for reaching out to us Steveb_bb, and welcome back to our Community Forums!

Sorry to hear of the solid red light on you hub currently.

The solid red light would symbolise either overheating, a fault LED light or potentially operating in modem mode.

Check out the envelope in the top right hand corner and providing you're not operating in modem mode, we will take the precaution and look to issue you with a like for like replacement hub.

    Thanks,

Run the Hub 3 Network Diagnostic Test and see if Temperature is Normal

I've tried & this says temperature is normal, what else could the light indicate. Stand by doesn't so correct, as the light is constant and comes on as soon as it is powered on.

  • You could try a simple pinhole reset for about 60 seconds straightened paper clip would suffice . leave it powered on .. take ethernet lead out before the procedure .. this should do a factory reset .. instructions can be seen on the net .. good luck

For a Hub 3 in Router mode, it just means the LEDs' colour is fading.

For a Hub 3 in Modem mode, the front panel LED is Magenta.
