Red light on Hub 3.0

The red light on the bottom section of my hub has been on for months, it used to be white, the hub does feel warm to the touch too.

I have in the past turned it off for over an hour and when powered up the light immediately turns red (on completion of the restart), I have also completed a pin reset, makes no difference, still red.

When I log into the hub and run the diagnostics tool, the results are 100% and just states to check the temperature is normal, it doesn't state the temperature though.

The hub is freestanding with good ventilation but always has the red light on.

Is this normal?

    Very Insightful Person

The Hub3 is known to have a cheapo LED that over time,  goes from white, through 50 shades of yellow and finally to red.

Its usually not a sign of overheating - BUT - it means that the "overheating detection system" is malfunctional.

Therefore,  VM will swap out the Hub for you.

A VM person should sort that for you when they get to the post in a few days time.

Welcome back to the Community Forums.
Sorry to hear of your concern with the red light on your router. This is usually just an LED error if there are no temperature and ventilation concerns with where the hub is located. Best to err on the side of caution and get this investigated further.
