Hub 3 red light

The red light on my Hub 3 is constantly on, but the router is not hot to the touch.

I have turned the router off at the mains and restarted it, and also did the pin reset to factory settings - all to no avail. I ran the network diagnostics tool which reported the temperature of the router as normal.

I understand from other posts in the forum that a constant red light usually means the router needs replacing?

  • I have a similar problem, done the reset, reboot diagnostic etc. I think the 2G wifi drops out as sometimes some devise that only work on 2G stop functioning.
    hb is not overheating, it is well ventilated and worked normally up until about a month ago.

      Thanks for your help.

      After posting I managed to get through to VM support, and they have now replaced the Hub 3 (unfortunately with another Hub 3 but at least I don't have the overheating danger now).
