How to log into router settings?

Hello all. I want to set up my router so only devices that I input the MAC address into the account are allowed to connect.

Our neighbour connected to our WiFi one afternoon as his was down and now he is constantly connected.  We have tried to pause the device on the app but within 5 minutes it appears to be unpacked, and this is becoming annoying.

Does anyone know where to find the login credentials for the account at all? We have tried the original WiFi password, the current one, as well as Admin and Administrator yet none of them are correct.

Thanks in advance,

"The sticker on the bottom of the router has been ripped off by my wife thinking it would stop people reading the password..."

The hub it not yours do not do that!

The factory VM HUB password is printed on the bottom side sticker.

I suggest do not move to permitted MAC address lists, this puts you in a 24/7 support role for any new device that arrives, such as a visitor and also modern laptops and mobiles often change their MAC address.    Read about MAC Address Randomisation.

The folks next door can only connect to your Wi-Fi if ...
    1) The Wi-Fi password has been intentionally disabled.
    2) or someone has given them the Wi-Fi password.

If neither of these are the case, you don't have a security problem.

A change of SSID and or Password is all that is needed to ensure only your family can connect.

Don't make life harder than it needs to be !

The sticker on the bottom of the router has been ripped off by my wife thinking it would stop people reading the password...  however, before she did that, I took a photo of it.

We have tried using that password to log into the account, but it doesn't accept either.

I wasn't aware that changing the password would force log out all devices so ill get on that right away.  Any other advice you can offer is amazing.

        Hi Jhub24 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, apologies for the issues that you are facing with your Hub. As you are aware we would strongly advise against sharing your home network with neighbours as this can give them more control than you would like without using a Guest Network. The sticker that you have will contain the admin settings in a light grey text, if you are sure 100% that your neighbour has not had access to this the password should work.

So that we can assist further we would need to bring you in for a private message, please look out for the envelope on the top right of your web browser or if you are using a mobile device, it will be located under your profile icon.

        Thanks.

        Sabrina

  • Also consider changing the SSID to something like Sodoff16rosecourtwifithief

Pinhole reset the Hub for 60 seconds.  Wait until the Hub is finished resetting. Then reset the admin password to a strong password known only to you.  Add in the MAC addresses you need.
