Ethernet

We had an engineer out today who supplied a new hub. Now the tv wont connect via ethernet. It's plugged into the hub and the tv box. New cable? Connected the tv to WiFi in the meantime.

He also didn't sort the booster (husband forgot to mention it). As we have a new network name and password will I need to pair it again?

Go back to simple things. Have you tested the Ethernet cable? Cables can break when unplugged and it’s not visible.

Phone VM Customer Support and ask for any VM Pods to be re-paired to the replacement Hub.

If a VM Hub 5 has been supplied ...

Connect the TV to a 1 Gb/s port on the VM Hub, i.e. avoid using the 2.5Gb/s port.

Make sure the TV has been powered off / on , to force it to reconnect.

  • Id prefer to cable but the tv is is indicating no ethernet connection despite the cable being connected

Try a factory reset on the TV and a different port on the Hub.

Nah, if TV was fine before, I’ll think the hub is the problem…. :-)

Yup new WiFi means reconnect everything

You should test the Ethernet ports with a PC to see if they work
