Consistent intermittent dropouts for the past year

An engineer came out to replace the router around a week ago, yet nothing has changed. I've replaced the coaxial cable since it seemed a little decrepit, again to no avail. I've looked at the router's upstream/downstream stats and they all seem to be within spec. of what I've seen from others' routers, besides the pre/post-RSS error count.

I'm genuinely just baffled at how/what/why the signal is so appalling. Whenever the internet does work I get around 300/10 Mbps. I'm not sure if it's placebo or what, but whenever I seem to do anything that could bring me happiness the Internet shuts down for about 5 minutes, if that helps.

(10-12pm is a power outage)

You replaced the co-ax cable! - with what ?

If you got some "VM compatible" cable from Amazon or similar - then my money is on that bit of tat cable being the main culprit - VM cable is different spec and no 3d party can supply it.  Many examples on here (and in my daughters bedroom) whereby Amazon tat cables introduce "noise" into the whole system - which can also then affect your neighbours connections.

Put the cable that the Tech left with you back on - and see if it clears up after doing this...

...  Switch the Hub off and unplug it from the mains supply for five minutes. Whilst it's off, do a quick check that all of your coax and ethernet cable connections are in nice and "finger" tight - at the Hub and wall box and also at any connectors etc. Ensure there are no “unterminated cable loose ends. Disconnect all the connections and reconnect to be sure. Also check that the internal wiring is ok with no kinking or chaffing. When its light, check that all looks good with the outside cabling and wall box (no “staples, etc.,) piercing the cables. Then switch the Hub back on and leave ~5 minutes When all done, check back in the settings and ensure that the RS error counts and T3 errors have all reset to 0. Then check every hour or so to see if they start reappearing - they shouldn't. If they do (particularly the postRS and T3 ones) you have a problem (noise) that only a Tech visit will sort.
Also check the Upstream QAM’s are all at 64

Been monitoring it for 24h now with the old co-ax back on. It has been pretty much the same.

6pm is when I changed the cable, I didn't record any up/downstream stats, but as of now:

        Hi unazed,

Thank you for your posts and welcome to our community forums. We're here to help.

I'm very sorry to hear of your recent connection issues. Are these ongoing today? If so, would you mind expanding on the situation, specifically with the different coax cables you've mentioned? Are you saying you've installed some coax cables yourself?

        Thanks,
