Stop auto play of next recorded episode

I find it very annoying when, getting near to the end of an episode I've recorded, a message comes up saying that the next episode will start playing within a few seconds. If I don't do anything, it automatically starts the next episode even though the one I'm watching hasn't finished playing and there's more to come. This is usually because a programme started late as Virgin can't tell if a programme is late.
i then have to go back to the first episode, watch it from the beginning and then fast forward to just before the end. I then have to try again to stop the sevond episode starting.

ifs there a way, e.g. in Settings, how Incan stop this happening, pleas

Change your default option to add fifteen minutes to the end of recordings. The prompt will only appear if there's been a delay in broadcast start time.

Which wastes a third of your recording space (for a half-hour program), there really should be an option to switch this feature off (or just not having it in the first place). It also doesn't only happen if the program was delayed, if it did the end of the program would be missing anyway, the option appears before the recording has finished.

If you want to change the default setting go to Settings, System, Recording settings and change the Extra time after to 15 minutes.

If it's just individual recordings you want to add extra time to, you can use the Advanced options and add up to 3 hours, I use this for the F1, get the race and all the chat afterwards and Ted's notebook all in one recording.
