Noisy v6 box

Hi there.

I upgraded to tv360 a few weeks ago and since then my v6 box has been unbelievably loud. ( fans spinning ) to the point where I'm having to crank the volume up on the tv rather loud to dround out the whining noise of the fans. It's quite irritating when trying to watch something. 

I did not have this issue before the upgrade to TV 360.

Anyone else have this issue?

Are they supposed to be this loud? Or is it a faulty box since the upgrade? 

Tried restarting / hard reset still the same issue.

Any help would be appreciated it's driving me crazy!

    There have been a few posts about the fan running at high speed after the 360 update, the fix is to have the box replaced, you just need to convince someone how loud the box is, some users have been asked to post a video 😕

    You need to call Virgin on 150 to report a fault or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.

    When phoning choose the option to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and hopefully you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone.

    I'm sorry to hear that your 360 TV box seems to be a little louder than expected. Have you got it in a well ventilated area? If not then the fan may be a little louder in trying to ensure the box stays cool.
