While I eventually got my tricky new 360 mini box operational, it is still not allowing recording. When I attempt to record I get a message saying "Virgin TV 1 is offline or not connecting". However everything is clearly turned on, all connections are correct as confirmed by the diagnostics check. What is going on and what is the solution?
The 360 mini has no recording facilities as it streams recordings. It uses the 360 master to record. Both boxes need to be in "fast start" I believe to work? The network connection between the two boxes also has to be stable and a strong Wifi signal. It is also best if they can be connected directly with a cable, or using Powerline adapters.
Thanks for the reply Adduxi. Where does the 360 mini stream recordings from? Is my old V6 box, upgraded to 360, now my 360 master box?
Yes, it will be the old V6 as they have a hard drive. So all recordings will be pooled in one place, rather than having two separate recording pools. At present VM are moving to streaming only for new customers.
