Large button controller

hi, I am a brand-new virgin customer. I am visually impaired and severely disabled and require a large button controller. I have spoken virgin to ask if there is such a thing and they have said no! Which I am not very happy about

Can somebody on this forum suggest a universal controller that would be suitable. I have a 360 box.

I am really struggling with the one supplied

  • Hi Ian_72,

You could look at the oneforall remotes the URC7125 and URC1240 seem popular choices but not sure if they have larger buttons.

The URC-6820 does have large buttons and according to a review on Argos  does work with the 360.

I've enclosed a photo of the OneForAll URC1240 in between a 360 remote and an LG Smart remote to give you an idea of the size.

      The OneForAll URC1240 measures H22, W4.4, D2cm compared to the OneForAll URC6820 which roy247 suggested which measures H17.4, W2, D4.8cm.

Although the URC6820 is smaller than the URC1240 it does appear to have larger buttons.  The LG Smart Control in the picture can also control the TV360.

The URC1240 and URC7125 are both available from Amazon, and slightly cheaper than from Argos. You should also be able to return to Amazon if purchased from there and not suitable.

To set up the OneForAll URC7125 - use the SimpleSet setup process and choose Ziggo manufacturer.

To set up the OneForAll1240 enter the code 1582, It needs direct line of sight to set it up.

Thank you for the excellent advice and the photograph but I have one further question I have purchased a URC1210 And my wife has linked it up to the TV. However, is there a way to link it up to my virgin 360 box

  • Thank you, Roy 247,  that’s the two boxes I have. How do I upgrade to a 360 box? And what is the extra cost?

      Hi Ian_72,

If you are in a full fibre area you won't be able to have 360 you need to be in a coax area, I assume you are in a full fibre area because you have 2 stream boxes in a coax area you can only have 1 stream, this would also explain why you were sent 2 stream boxes.

@nodrogd's answer in this thread might help explain the situation, I believe you also need a hub 5x if you live in a full fibre area.
