How Long to Activate.

Once Ive ordered VM TV package on-line, how long does it take to activate/start working, I'm still waiting for the 10m cable to turn up so just trying to plan ahead (I should have ordered it from Amazon)

  • Are you waiting for a 10 metre coax cable just to clarify things, and for which connection do you want this for.

    If you are a new customer ask for a manned installation and the engineer can do the cable and check that the signal levels are all OK.

    Virgin use their own cables so I wouldn't buy one from Amazon just in case it causes problems to their network.

      Yes the 10m coax, I have ordered it already, I have VM broadband now and just deciding whether or not to get the TV, I have the box already, that arrived after a brief encounter with the chat people, after I cancelled it. Once the cable arrives I can install it no problem and check it out in my 14 day cool off time.

  • Ok two cables turned up today, ive added a TV package and now it says 7-10 days for activation........really, If I had known that I could have ordered the TV package a week ago, man the lack of communication is staggering, oh plus I have a 360 box, please don't send me another one.

        Hi Daniel, The two cables that turned up were wrong, I had an engineer turn up on Friday, he was fantastic, he made me a new cable and that worked, as far as activation, we did get it to work eventually, 1st of all they were trying to set up the wrong account, then they tried to set up the new box which isn't arriving until the 1/4/25 and after about 30mins they found the correct account and we got up and running, so far so good.
