Box won't boot from endless loop.

Around Oct 25, I 'upgraded' my V6 box to Virgin TV 360. Been pretty spotty ever since and has now got to the stage of looping on the Welcome Screen and no amount of resetting with the switching on while holding down button combinations (which previously worked) is getting it out of the loop. Since upgrading, the box doesn't maintain login info for streaming services, and doesn't retain recording information which is pretty annoying, obviously having to keep inputting the same information.

Finally deciding I probably need an actual box update, I attempted to book an engineer online only to find that it's also a loop system. Click book an enginner, Test service, Book engineer, Test service, ad nauseum...

Anyone on here hold the secret recipe for getting some assistance? Many thanks for any help.

  • You can either call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's. It's not possible to book an engineer online as I think you have found out.

    Thanks for reply, Roy. I did previously manage to book an engineer online and they still have a link to do so which as I mentioned, leads to an endless loop.

      It wouldn't be the first online link not to work. Good luck with your call to Virgin. 🤞
