360 tv box deleted all recordings

Recently noticed that my 360 box has deleted everything we had recorded before the end of july.  Tried to record something the other day and it hasn't recorded as it is saying there is no space when only have about 5 hours worth of programmes recorded!? Anybody any ideas?

Thanks

    Knows their stuff

    It's a common feature of the 'upgrade'. Have a check through the forum.

  • Yeah ive seen the other discussions about an upgrade... but i haven't received any emails or communications recently about any upgrades so....

  • If the 360 has deleted your recordings and planned recordings it's a sign that the box is faulty, especially if it does it more than once. You can either call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.

    You could also try a factory reset of the 360, and if you haven't got any recordings you might as well go for the format disk option and if or 'when' the box deletes everything again then phone Virgin.

    They might suggest you set the Auto delete option to off, it probably already is and shouldn't affect planned recordings but you can check by doing the following;

    Press Home > Recordings > Recorded > View All > Manage Storage > Enter your pin > Auto delete when space needed > Set to Off.

    You can also do a quick check of the hard drive by pausing and rewinding live TV if that doesn't work then the box definitely needs replacing.

      Thanks! A lot more helpful then the previous chap that replied! Yeah the auto delete is off and always had been! I will try the other suggestions you have made!

      I have just tried pausing live tv and it wont actually pause and comes up with an error cs2000

      Going to try the factory reset next

      After doing the factory reset... still cant pause live tv coming up with the same error cs2000 and also still saying storage is full when there is hardly anything recorded... I guess I'll wait a couple of days to see if anyone from the forum team picks this up
