TV 360 Box Not Recording

I have had my old Tivo Box upgraded to TV 360 Box recently and all appeared to working ok. However, I now cannot record - when selecting a programme to record - I get the message "Virgin TV 1 is starting up to record - it may take a moment. Check your recordings later to see if that worked".   But it doesn't record. I have checked my storage an have only used 39%. Any users have an idea what the problem could be.

  • I have two boxes and recently received an upgrade to 360. One of the boxes (living room) is the V6 size and there are no issues recording from this box. However, when I try to record from the smaller TV box (lounge) I am unable to record and get the alert message I mentioned earlier - "Virgin TV 1 is starting up to record - it may take a moment....." You suggest set at Fast Start - where would I locate this functionality, as I think this may be the problem. Do not thing its an Wi Fi connectivity issue, as both are hard wired. Thanks very much for your post.

  • Do you only have one box or two boxes. Sounds like it's trying to record on the other box if you have one and it's in standby mode. If you do have more than one box they both need to be set to fast start or active start, another possibility is your internet connection, wi-fi or ethernet cable.

Sounds like you have a TV360-master & TV360-mini. The mini is the half-height due to no hard drive, and wholly relies on the master for all recording functionality.

This is different to the TiVo/V6 method where all boxes have hard drives but also multi-room streaming.

  • Hi AndyB13 thanks for your post although we're sorry to hear of the concerns you've raised here.

If you could come back to us if you still need help with the other questions/guidance raised in this thread, hopefully that helps but please let us know if you need any further help.

    Many thanks

      Hi Tom

The problem I have still exists. Is there something that I can do on my TV to resolve the matter.

Grateful for any guidance you could give me.

      Thanks AB

What combination of boxes do you have? As per previous questions to you, it sounds like you have a TV360-master & TV-360 mini - but can you confirm?

The answer directly impacts the guidance that can be given.
