360 box not pausing or recording

This has been covered before but previous solutions have not worked. Tried to get through to Virgin and it was painful. Eventually got through but the guy was clueless so I’m hoping someone can suggest something helpful other than HDD is gone and need new box.

storage is empty and have done reset and everything else is fine connection wise

    To avoid the forum staff having to ask, and potentially delaying a resolution here, what are the solutions/tests you've tried thus far?

    What happens when you try pausing programmes and/or setting recordings?
