Why won't my landlines recieve incoming calls

I have just joined and managed this account for my 80 year old mother.  Since the Virgin engineers have been out 3 weeks ago approx, her phone has stopped accepting incoming calls.  

Ive reset the hub and contacted Virgin, they said 2 days ago they would escalate the issue and raise a ticket, Ive heard nothing since.

All I want is to know I can contact her as Im 30 miles away.

    My full name is Tommy Johnston, I manage the account on behalf of my mother Marie Johnston.

    This was only fitted a few weeks ago and we only noticed the issue on the 25.12.25 as we were phoning for Christmas.  The engineers have either not connected something, they have definitely though not checked thoroughly before leaving.

    My mother is 80 and I live 30 miles away, she is considered vulnerable due to her health.  This cannot go on, she needs to be contactable in case of emergencies.

    For me the only solution is an engineer revisit. I work abroad and do not have the time to be an unpaid Virgin technician.

    I hope this message conveys the frustrations and disappointment I have with this service in its infancy.
