Renewing Contract - Talk Weekends still possible vs Weekend Chatter

My contract is due for renewal shortly and I'm looking to keep my legacy phone package 'Talk Weekends'.

Does anyone know if this is still possible? - I know there were a few issues last time I renewed around 18 months ago, but managed to keep it in the end.

I know sometimes they stop offering old packages at renewal time.

Thanks in advance,

AFAIK, when you renew for another minimum term you would normally move to one of the current packages/prices.

But this is VM, where unexpected things can/do often happen. If you continued on the old package before, you can only ask at renewal if doing that provides some benefit to do so.

I would guess that the older the old package becomes though, the less likely it will be for you to get what you want and keep it. I think you will only find out by asking when you renew.

  • Hi backtothefuture, thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, when your current offer ends we would look at what is available for you, our talk package equivalent to talk weekend is weekend chatter, this still gives you free weekend calls and is free, we no longer offer talk weekends with any new package.

    Regards

    Paul.

Hi @Paul_DN - My current 'Talk Weekends' package includes calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers at the weekend (Which I use a lot), and the current Weekend Chatter package doesn't.

Are you saying that if I agree a deal it won't be possible to get 'Talk Weekends' and the only option would be 'Weekend Chatter' ?

      Thanks

Hi backtothefuture thanks for getting back to us.

Any new deals that include landline would include our new landline packages, including the example you've mentioned. Please get back to us with any further queries.
