Remote control of VOIP service

Hi,

Once on the Virgin Media Home phone VOIP service will it be possible to access phone services remotely - for example to switch call divert on and  off without being present at the property?

Thanks.

Welcome back to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums.

As Tudor has advised earlier none of the functions that you have described would be available with our phone service via your router.

    Kind Regards,

It’s not a VoIP service, none of those facilities are available.

The hub based lines are just a way of digitally connecting to a conventional telephone exchange at the local headend. Hence there are no VoIP type add ons.

Trading Standards need to crack down hard on ISPs writing VOIP when POTS is on offer.

Catch 22. It does use IP to connect to the headend, but is on an internal system to VMs local network. I myself have been lambasted on this forum by some computer "experts" who claim it IS VoIP.
