Only 1 hour fast

Hi all

Have had this problem quite a few times now. The time on my house phone advances 1 hour at random times. May be OK for a few days and then goes 1 hour fast. Each time it happens I have rebooted the hub and that seemed to correct it but not this time. I had to manually correct the time on phone. Perhaps there is still a problem at Virgin with this. Perhaps AI could sort it for them or is it AI that has screwed it up.

Why do we keep getting this problem. Goodness knows what will happen when the clocks go forward this weekend.

Regards

Alan

Is your phone plugged into the VM hub for the landline connection? If so, see below

    https://community.virginmedia.com/discussions/Telephone/wrong-time-on-handset-since-moving-to-digital-voice/5287304

Caller ID advances the time one hour each time a call comes in.

It's a problem that has been going on for years now. VM has zero intention of addressing it.

See if your phone has a setting to set the time manually rather than via caller ID

      Hi

Thanks for the info. Will have a look at settings and see if I can sort it.

      Cheers

Make a test call to your phone on Sunday morning and the time should be correct again.
Just let it ring a couple of times to update the time.

It is an old issue of VM's phone via the Hub platform working on the USA weekend for entry / exist to summer / winter time. USA is 1 week ahead of UK on change over so this is seen twice per year.
