It does not tell you how to register the fault ONLINE

The 'online' reference in the auto comp explanation is misleading IMO. As I understand it, you can run the automated service status tests from within 'My Virgin Media' which might acknowledge or log the fault for you if it recognises a problem.

You can phone the automated service status number 0800 561 0061 to check for any faults in your area which again should log your issue if there is a recognised area fault.

Other than that, you have to phone in to log the issue and start the clock ticking for compensation. Without using one of the approved methods, VM will have the excuse for not paying out that they were not properly notified of the total loss of service.

  • Hey Chris_tramman 👋🏼 Thanks for reaching out to us and a warm welcome to the Virgin Media forums.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the landline services.
Please check here for guidance on how to register for auto compensation.

Let us know how it goes.

    Kind regards.

Has it been over 48 hours since the fault was logged?
