Not getting 350mb

Hi,

So I renewed my contract on 7th June and was upgraded from M250 to M350.

I have done quite a few speedtests over the last month and have never hit anywhere near 350mb.  Some of the tests are done from upstairs, when my router is downstairs, the lowest one's were on 2.4ghz, which I never connect to anyway, however the 3 tests I did today, I was literally within 2 metres of my router.  The 129mb, I was actually on a WiFi call and wanted to see what the speed was like whilst on a call.

My router was actually rebooted last weekend as was getting a new smart metre fitted, so was off for a while.

Any suggestions on why my speed is not as it should be?

    Thanks for the above explanation .  I presumed I should be getting 350mb over WiFi 🤦🏻‍♀️

      What's the 'Speed' in the HUB settings under 'Connected Devices'?

      ... speed testing over Wi-Fi is bit like testing the mains supply to the house with a desk lamp !

    You are testing the speed of the Wi-Fi in your device & how fast it draws data.
    Not the service speed to the VM Hub.

    A video call might run at 5Mbps,  but Wi-Fi it is half duplex ( one way at a time ) so for a video call with sound and vision in both directions Wi-Fi is not ideal vs a full duplex network cable.

    To see the service speed to the Hub try : https://www.samknows.com/realspeed/

    Once the test begins click on: Run full test to include: Latency, Jitter, Packet loss & Upload speed.

    The same test is available as "Samknows Realspeed" apps for iOS and Android mobiles.

    The upgrade has been done as your upload speeds are generally as expected. 

    Try testing again with a laptop over a cable connection
