I am paying for the M500 but some how getting speeds like 1gb speeds

I tested on https://samknows.com/realspeed/ and was only getting 500 Mb until a few days ago.

I know I have an old O2 contract, but it is currently in default/arrears with O2 — would that have any bearing on why this has happened?

I did have a short outage of about ten minutes yesterday, and then got speeds like this. I’m worried that an engineer may have made an error connecting another customer and accidentally moved my line.

I am worried If I dont bring it up will i be footing the bill of this.

Interesting its saying this today yesterday it want my o2 contract is in arrears and disconnected by o2 ?


I guess I should be thankfull of the free upgrade just worried if they will try and charge me extra

    Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community. 

    If the account with O2 is Pay Monthly, then you'll get Volt Benefits, which is double speed.

      But oddly the o2 account is in debt so I wonder will they eventually take it off it was in debt though when they applied the vollt? @

        Hey david40ni, thank you for reaching out and we are sorry to hear about your surprised speeds.

        Just to confirm if you have an O2 sim card it would get volted which means a free speed upgrade.

        You would only lose the volt benefit if you dropped the sim card.
