Installation fee applied for self installation???
Hi
been with virgin media for over 18 months now and have just upgraded my package after a rocky few months due to internet interruptions and slow speeds. Have upgraded to the gig1 package as I wanted faster speeds so didn’t mind paying abit extra. I just received my first bill it’s over double due to a £35 installation fee. How is this so when I’m installing myself as they are not coming out to change lines to Xon etc?
I'm guessing it's an "activation" fee for the new hub. Seems a bit tight given that you are upgrading and can't do so to Gig1 unless you have a new hub.
*edit. Just seen that you have gone from a Hub 4 to a Hub 5 so an even weaker case for the £35 in my view as the Hub 4 would have done https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/QuickStart-set-up-and/Upgraded-to-Gig1/td-p/5483504
