Glitch on the website my address isn't available anymore to order fibre?

Nexifibre on behalf of VM have been digging up my town for the past 6 months and I've been checking every month or so on the VM website to see if the services are available for order as my contract is up for renewal soon.

There is one of the boxes right outside my house and in front of my driveway there is one of those black virgin media plaques. Until recently you could check all the addresses against my postcode and it would say temporarily unavailable you will be notified when available ect. Now when I check my postcode on the website 80% of the postcodes are missing but the ones that are there have the ability to now order the new 1/2Gig fibre.

I have submitted one of the forms to say my address is not listed but haven't received a message back. Is anyone able to advise whether this is available for ordering yet? Surely if someone just down the road from me can order , t should also be available for me.

    We're pleased to hear you're interested in joining Virgin Media but sorry to hear of the issues, we appreciate you raising this via the forums and welcome to the community.

     

    We're not able to place orders via the forums, we would recommend calling the sales team on 0800 183 1234 to arrange for someone to come out and check if the property is serviceable. You have mentioned this has already been raised and these can take up to 10 working days depending on how busy the team are, it can take longer.

  • I have exactly the same problem all houses on the street were showing last week and nextfibre has installed the cabinet and cables to all the houses in my street but this week most of numbers 1-30 now have disappeared off the database there are a few (but not al houses in the 20 - 37 range (again not all) even 37 and 39 services by the same access point outside the property (with 2 fibre pipes one for each property) one house is showing as live the other pipe showing not available. there is something really weird going on with this database.

      Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

      I've just replied to your other thread here: houses in nextfibre area suddenly not on the availabilty checker

      Please make sure you're only posting once about your issue. If you need to update the thread then just reply to your original thread rather than creating a new one. We understand it's frustrating when something's not right however posting more than once about the same fault makes the boards look busier than what they actually are. It also means we could take longer to reply due to needing to sift through duplicate posts.

      Have a look at my reply on the other thread and stick with that one so we keep all the information in one place.
