Cable exposed running acrosso the drive

Any idea why the engineer has wired the cable over the drive in a green tube like this?

House was empty and had building work at the time so didn't get a chance to question the engineer.

The engineer won't be able to put it under your monoblock, he's not a landscape Gardner.

He would have done that to give you a temporary service then a different team would need to lift your monoblock and put back down

Usually any sort of digging will be a 3rd party contractor working on VM's behalf.

It may be quicker to lift and replace those bricks yourself ...

    Knows their stuff

Take the naff monobloc up and reclaim your garden.   Then you could  grow some flowers/ vegetables. Maybe a pond/waterfall? Butterflies and frogs may  appear and the world will be a slightly happier place.  Plus  it will be easier to bury that cable.  😀

Well I don't think they have given you enough cable slack to bury the cable.

Don't need much, my VM co-ax cable has no conduit and is about 50mm under the grass.

The Openreach fibre cable, on the  other hand, is about 200mm down and in armoured conduit   ;-)
