Account login issue

Hi
I switched over from virgin to o2 when they merged but am still paying o2 And virgin 2 years later.
I need to login to my virgin billing to find out why but can't access my account.

Password reset emails arent comjng through.
Can anyone help.

    Sorry to hear about your difficulties accessing the online information for your mobile account. 

    You can find loads of great general help information for mobile here 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/help/mobile

    Virgin Mobile fully merged with O2 in August 2023, and so access to any information about your Mobile billing should be directly via your O2 mobile online account through My O2 👉 https://accounts.o2.co.uk/signin

    The only reason you would be receiving billing from O2 and VM is if you have an ongoing handset loan agreement which is with Virgin Mobile. There's a separate online portal to view any of this information 👉 https://virginmedia.icehosted.com/VirginMedia/WebPortal/SelfService

    If you can please check out the link, there's information about how you were sent the login details. Once you've checked this through, if you don't have what you need to login and would like us to re-send it to you then please reply again here and we will be able to offer further help.

      Thanks for the reply.

      I had looked through the help notes before joining the community. No joy.  Today I tried using the link you put below to get onto the Virgin site and check the original contract. No luck as I DO know my contract, but not my security key (?). That page states if you dont have those details call O2 and they will be able to send the 2 original contract letters out again. But, nope. 20mins with O2 and two different helpers.....no joy. 'You need to login to Virgin' :) So, back to square one. I cant login on Virgins site as I DO know account number but not 'area code' which is needed to try and get a password reset. Its like the twilight zone. 

  • If anyone knows the area reference code for RM14 1SS then I may get lucky and be able to get in that way

      The Area Refernce for that postal code is 22

      munchie63 Area reference codes do not apply for old Virgin mobile accounts. Also the Virgin Mobile website is no longer available.  If you are being asked for an area reference number then you are probably trying to sign into the Virginmedia.com website which won't help you in this instance.

        Thanks Graham. Ironic as that was on the link to me reply yesterday. In a nutshell I was switched over to o2 when Virgin merged. But am being charged by O2 for data and Virgin for what I assume is a loan agreement for the phone. But its been 2+ years so need to check how long left or if I'm being overcharged. But...cant login or speak to anyone to check that :)

  • Hi all. Still struggling getting into ann old (but active) virgin account. Would anyone be able to find the area reference code for me for RM14 1SS. Thanks
