why do vm keep sending me broadband up grade offers, which when i click on to take up the are unavailable

Since joining VM new fibre network, i have regularly received emails offering to increase my 500MB package to a 1GB package for an extra 3 pounds a month. When i try to take up the offer it then says its not available to me????

I tried contacting customer services. What a joke. Put through via whats app. The person replying if it was a person had no clue. Promised a phone back, nothing.

Left it then the same today another email, same offer unavailable. tried cs, no reply when pushed on to whats app. 

Ironically i want the offer, but can't get it. Any suggestions??

    It's possibly a marketing mistake and higher speeds aren't available due to over-selling.

    Have you tried putting your postcode into the /virginmedia.com/#postcodechecker  to see what speeds are showing for new customers. Enter your postcode but a different house number. (You might need to use an incognito/private window/tab.
