VMO2 Linking Issue Persisting After Activation

Hi. Like seemingly many others on here, I am unable to link my virgin media account, with it constantly coming up as:

“We’ve found your Virgin Media account

However, this account is linked to an email address that’s different to the one on your Virgin Media O2 ID.

If you’d like to continue and link your Virgin Media account to your Virgin Media O2 ID, please confirm the full email address your Virgin Media account is currently registered to.

We’ll then send an email to that email address to approve the transfer.”

I have checked out all the FAQ links provided but they were no help, I did see that the issue would be rectified by Broadband being active and set up but mine is set up and it is still giving the same error as stated above
