Virgin media/O2 account linking (Another one)

This is the message I get when I try to link my accounts. Even when I was with virgin years ago, the email I'm trying to use now is the very same one.

Hopefully someone can get back to me regarding this or put out a patch that resolves it for the hundreds that are getting it everyday.

      I probably didn't explain properly, the email (Gmail) that I used to sign up for my old (closed) VM account is the only one I've ever used with virgin. 

      According to the error message, they found a VM account with my details but say it's linked to another email address. Not likely.

        Welcome back to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your online account sign up at the moment. The issue could be that your email address is still associated to the old account that you used to have with us. Having checked your account, I can see that is the case. I'd need to raise this with our IT support team to have the email removed however to do that we would need to pass account security, which we'll do via private message. please look out for my message and we can get started.
