Yeah a nice little loophole you have come across methinks. They are two different companies with two different sets of Ts and Cs. Fill your boots (if VM really is your world...).

Hello aardvarky,
Welcome back to the community and thanks for taking the time to post. You would be able to take up a new contract with Virgin Media residential after your Virgin Media business contract expires.
Kind Regards,

Just rang up and the business contract ends on 12th dec, but they say they want 90 days notice to close!
They recommended i put in a complaint and then talk to the team about if i can switch back to the home service and perhaps waive it, since i would be staying with virgin - lets see what happens!

Hi aardvarky,
Thanks for coming back to us on this one. The notice period to close your account should be set out in the terms and conditions of your business contract. We only have access to residential accounts via this community so unable to provide any information or help on this.
Feel free to keep the community updated though 😊
Thanks,

sure, i'll let you know.
If they say no i'll cancel the business contract and see what my options are after that.

Yup VM notice is indeed 90 days. One for the loophole hunters to be aware of here.

*VMB notice that is.
(Polite and loving plea to the Mods : please bring back Edit xx).

so far no one has got back to me; i can't say i'm impressed with the business customer service.
I'll be cancelling and seeing what my options are.

We're sorry to hear that Virgin Media Business haven't got back to you yet, unfortunately we wouldn't be able to help any further from here.
Kind Regards,

No worries Steven.
The contract ends on the 12th dec so i assume i will get an email/letter. Either way i'll cancel then.

Ive finally managed to cancel it - 90 day notice so it will get cut off on 8th april.
I guess my question is, when would i contact virgin to get a deal on the home service again? How long in advance can they take orders and how long does it take to arrange it?
thanks

Just bumping this again - I'm not sure how much time i should sensibly give it before i try and arrange the next broadband contract.
Does anyone have an idea how long they usually take? (it's been years since I've done it!)
thanks
