Renewal £30 more expensive via livechat

Hi my contract has expired and renewal is offered at £52.28 on the website but i would like a Hub5 so i contacted support via the live chat, they said the Hub5 would have a $35 activation fee which is fine but the 18 month contract would be £86 are they just making a mistake and including the hub activation on the first month or are support unable to match the renewal price offered on the website?

    You are entering a minefield here. There is a very long history of offers being made and accepted, then being different in the resulting contract particularly with one-off charges.   Some have found there is a difference between connection charges and activation charges. 

    If you accept a deal, make sure you get the offer in writing, and check the subsequent billing.

      im not even trying to get a deal i just want whats offered on the website and im willing to pay the activation fee for a hub 5, because of this hassle i checked the comparison sites and i can get 1000Mb services for £35 or 1600Mb for £70

      i originally contacted livechat rather than the phone line since i can save the transcript
