Paid for bill manually but direct debit also taken

Hi,

 

I've been a bit of a fool and paid manually (how I used to do it) but been charged by direct debit too. How can I go about getting one or the other refunded?

    Hey Callyius,

    Welcome to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

    With your payments you would be bale to go about getting an indemnity claim for the payment made via Direct Debit, however if you leave the payments as they are, they would over run to your next bill making this either lower or be fully paid by the amount you have already paid.

      Thanks for the prompt response!

      How would I go about this? It's just as I need the extra money this month ahead of Xmas shopping during November.

      Would it not be easier to get a refund from customer service for the manual payment?

        Hey Callyius,

        If you do want the money back it would be for the Direct Debit amount, we would advise reaching out to your bank and request an indemnity claim, from this you would then need to reset up your Direct Debit after this has happened.
