Contract coming to an end

So my contract is coming to an end with Virgin Media in September, the usual run around with stuff to try and get a better deal. Currently, I have 2 x 02 volt sim cards which are costing me a fortune for very little service and the service where I live is terrible with them. I also have 1 gig speed broadband all the TV channels and Netflix HD, plus two V6 boxes in other rooms for the children as well as Anytime chatter on the house phone.

Is it possible to keep everything as I have at the moment but remove the house phone and sim cards from future contract ?

  • Hi dark-knight 👋 Welcome to the community forum! Thanks for posting.
Sorry to hear these concerns about your contract when it is coming to an end soon.

It's worth us mentioning that if you have a VOLT package with us, the terms of this are that there is a linked O2 mobile services account. This can either be via a VOLT sim, or another O2 mobile within the household that we ensure is linked via your VM account. You can find the T&C's of a VOLT deal in the FAQ section at the bottom of this help page 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/virgin-media-o2

If you don't have any O2 services linked, you can keep all the services you would be looking to keep, but they would not be possible via a VOLT deal and so would not have the same VOLT discounts applied when re-contracting. (You may find this impacts the available deals we can offer.)
Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.🌞

You would be best to deal with retentions in September.  If you make changes mid contract you could end up paying a lot more and have a new 24 month contract to boot.

You will be in a far better position to negotiate in the last 30 days of your present contract. Unfortunately if you are really dependent on the V6 boxes you are handing a strong lever to VM.
