Apps Won't Stay Logged In
Hey, My 360 box will not save any login credentials for apps like ITVX, BBC iPlayer etc... my elderly dad loves watching things on these apps, particularly ITVX, and now that he can't he finds it very frustrating as do I. I have tried various ways to resolve this including: Turning the box off at the wall waiting at least 30 seconds and then turning it back on again. Turning the box off at the back, pressing the minus and plus keys separately and both together whilst turning the box back on again. Trying a factory reset. The box is never switched off or left on standby either, so this is not the issue. When I try the minus and plus keys methods then a download arrow icon is displayed and it appears to be downloading an update but with no installation bar at the bottom. When I try a factory reset the same arrow is displayed but this time an installation bar appears with a message to wait for installation to finish. However when the box finishes and I press the home button on the remote and I check settings it appears that no update firmware has been installed, it is always showing version 5.16. Regardless, nothing works and after signing into these apps it won't stay logged in for very long and I have to keep signing in all the time which I can't keep doing. I firmly believe that the box needs replacing or an engineer needs to come up and take a look for us to try and resolve the issue. Can someone please help me with this? Thank you.Solved583Views0likes9CommentsSky sports app login
Hi I'm having issues logging into the sky sports app, I've been using the app for number of years now, but now I'm unable to log in. It asks me to sign in as a virgin media customer which I do but said my password is not recognised, (I've not changed it). When I select forgot password it takes me to a page to change it and when you press submit it just spinss on the VM logo and then freezes without signing me in. Can anyone help? I'm subscribed to sky sports and i can log into virgin tv go, so that's not an issue. Cheers DagzyhSolved221Views0likes7CommentsUnable to login to TV Control app
I have upgraded my phone today, and have been able to transfer set up access for almost all apps, including My Virgin Media and Virgin TV Go. However, every time I try to log in to TV Control, I get an error message. I am certain I am entering the correct username and password, as they are accepted both by the other two apps, and by the Virgin Media website. On occasion, I am asked to complete the captcha element. However, after this point, I always receive a screen titled 'Sign In Error', with the text 'General Error' and only the options to 'Try again' or 'Return to sign in'. I have tried clearing the app cache and user data, uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, but with no improvement - the issue continues in the same fashion even when reinstalled. Looking in this forum, I note that many others seem to be experiencing the same or similar issues. Why is TV Control not working when the other two apps are with the same log in details, and how can this issue be resolved?1KViews0likes9Comments
