No renewal contract but Netflix downgraded
I renewed my package as per my online account which stated ‘Choose this deal and keep your current Virgin Media plan without losing anything.’ I received conflicting information and prices from Customer Services, but in view of the above statement and that my pre contract documents stated ‘Netflix Standard’, I renewed. I have today received an email from Netflix confirming my plan is now with Ads. However, I have not even received my formal contract documents from Virgin and my account has not even been updated. Virgin have misrepresented the renewal of my contract. It stated in writing I would not lose anything and therefore my services should be exactly the same as what I was receiving prior to my renewal. Additionally, my online account stated one price 2 months before renewal, but increased the cost 20 days before it was due. Nowhere did it state that the price would increase the closer it got to renewal. I am now paying more for less!!! The service from Virgin is abysmal. I have been a customer from 20+ years. At least it seems that Sky are upfront about their services and charges. I expect to receive what I signed up to (the same as I had before) and I will take this matter further, but I am unsure what steps to take, as when you call Customer Services they are very unhelpful and previous experience with the Complaints Team is that they do not actually read your complaint. Wasted a couple of hours trying to get this setup following the instructions. I work in IT so tried all sorts to try and get it working. Put it in Modem mode and PC gets an IP address fine but the eero won't get a connected to the network. Tried with manual IP settings (there is no DNS settings) both on 192.168.10 network and on the other IP address that my PC was getting IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 81.108.246.218(Preferred) >> gave it 81.108.246.100 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.252.0 Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 26 October 2024 18:57:20 Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 02 November 2024 18:22:55 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : fe80::2a52:61ff:fef1:b01a%2 81.108.244.1 also with no joy. I have 3 eero devices and tried with all three. Did full resets and still no joy. I think the problem is something down to DHCP after you switch to modem mode. If you keep it in router mode then it connects fine and gets the IP. What I have done is gone in and turned off the wifi signals for both so they don't interfere. I could try modem mode now they are setup but I don't want to tempt fate and get back to stage 1 I had similar issues with my superhub 3 but was hoping could get it working fine with superhub 4 with modem mode but same issues abound. To turn off the wifi signals you need to first disable the setting at the bottom and then the other options that are greyed out become active. Now all three eero devices setup and router modem with wifi turned off (I used same network name and pass to make it easy for already setup devices)649Views0likes3CommentsDoes this BQM look okay, as I’ve been having connection issues.
Hi guys, would anyone be able to have a look at my BQM please. It’s a Gig1 package with Hub5 router. I’ve been having a really inconsistent connection recently and wondering if the unstable ping is a common DOCSIS issue or something you have to live with? Hi all, I've been away from home for the past week and I lost connection to my home server (accessed through a wireguard vpn) which was an absolute nightmare to deal with. I've just got back home and realised that I've got a public IPV4 lease time, with the current lease set to expire on the 24th September. I thought VM only offer static public IP addresses but I suppose I was wrong, I wouldn't have went with VM had I known this. Is there anyway I can request a static public ipv4 address, or keep extending the lease time indefinitely? Thanks in advance!3.1KViews0likes7Comments
