I have had several gos at reading it but VMEmail does not recognise the password and asks me to configure manually . I do this with the imap and smtp settings on the VMweb page but it won't accept them and just gets stuck. I have had two tries at using the chatline but it has not solved the problem . the first time I lost the chat window and the 2nd the VM assistant changed the email and password for my main VMaccount which had no affect on the Email account and did not help me to add the Blueyonder email into the account . it did not help because when I tried to sign in it requested I change the log in email to a non VM . s so I am a days time poorer and in the same position I was before I started . I just want to add an extra Blueyonder email account into VMEmail . why is it so difficult!! I haven't even embarked on how to read it into the Mail App ( presumably with the App generated password) is Virgin making it deliberately difficult to do anything with VM Mail . And don't get me started on these stupid verification pictures .Why Why Why do I have to select fire hydrants , motorbikes, buses bridges and stairs over 20 times on the trot . and why are the images so appalling . come on Virgin Media . are you a reputable high tech company or a ramshackle outfit that gives little account of its customers . BLUEYONDER WHAT IS HAPPENING I had my Blueyonder opening in Mail App then it suddenly asked for password and stopped working so I deleted it . For well over 6 months I have been trying to readd it to both Virgin webmail and Mail to no avail . I am now at a loss what to do . I have tried everything I can think but nothing works . Can’t add blueyonder to mail app I can’t add Blueyonder to Mail App.I have tried adding my Blueyonder email to the emails in my Virginmedia webmail account . I have tried generating a new app password in VM webmail and trying to add email in Apple email settings . It is so frustrating . Why is It so difficult to add ? Other emails are straightforward Re: Change of Emails from Blueyonder. blueyonder is still on my iPad but not my iPhone . When I logged into my MAC it asked for the password . I generated a new 3rd party app in VM but could not get it to accept . It said the same as with the phone above . Ie no password inputted for blueyonder . Why o why is it so complicated ! Re: Change of Emails from Blueyonder. Thank you . I already had a non Virgin Email for my VM account sign in so I can log in to the main account . My third party email client app was showing “ network issues” specifically with blueyonder . I tried to fix by generating and changing the Third party Virgin app many times without success so I deleted blueyonder and tried to add using the “ other “ option . I put in the name , user password ( third party generated VM) and the email name . It kept telling me that no password was provided and to add it in mail settings ( which is what I was trying to do . I have tried many different variations without success . Re: Email Issues on iPhone and Ipad I have the same issue . I have tried deleting blueyonder from the 3rd party app but I can’t readd . Ihave generated an app for 3rd party mail apps and added it to account settings but it keeps saying “no password has been added for blueyonder account “ . Ihave checked all the other imap / smtp settings many many many many times . I have gone through the process of generating the third party app also many times . I have tried copy and pasting , manually typing . Nothing has worked . Time wasting and Frustrating ! Re: Change of Emails from Blueyonder. I have the same problem . Like you I was forced by the lack of options to change my blueyonder address but still can’t find a way to change my email address . I don’t get an option to do that just to generate a third party App . Is it me or do VM keep changing the rules? Are you trying to make it so difficult we will give up and go elsewhere . This is one solution or are VM as a company so bad at streamlining their processes to make them accessible . You shouldn’t need to be an IT genius to do simple things like changing passwords . Other companies achieve it why not VM? I have read the post thread and have had the same experience but simply don’t understand why it’s been made so complicated . I am trying to impose logic but it doesn’t make any sense . So do I continue to give people my blueyonder address or the new one I was forced to change to? How does that work ? Where does the third party app password fit in? I have looked all over the VM app and can’t find an option to change my password. Where is it please? Like the other contributor I have spent ages trying to sort it on my own . I am reluctant to phone the helpline because that way leads to time and frustration and often an y resolved issue . I am not generally a negative person but VM services drive me to distraction Scam? Or legit? virginmedia@uk.matchbox.maruhub.com is this a legitimate virgin media email . Asking me to fill in a survey . It was from VM and Mary and had the name of the account holder .
