Absolutely zero issues and the picture quality on my TV is stunning(qn94a). Oh and it's good to have sky Atlantic and the f1 red button, just watched a review of virgin stream on YouTube, can you watch every program from the start ? Doesn't look like you can Your Internet is Too fast (LTT Video), dont waste your money I've been with Virgin Media's 1 Gig service for 18 months. I spent a lot of money on a Wi-Fi 6 XT8 setup specifically to get 1 Gb speeds over Wi-Fi, but when the renewal came through, the price hike made me reconsider. So, I had my partner sign up for their 350 Mb service(it was cheaper than my renewal). Honestly, apart from the occasional large Steam download, I haven't noticed any difference in performance. We also switched to Sky Stream, which offers 4K and Dolby Atmos, which is is so much better than virgin360, thank you virgin media retention team Recently, I watched a Linus Tech Tips video about internet speeds, and after checking my own setup, I completely agree with Linus's findings. There's no way I'd sign up for Virgin's 1 Gb service again, unless they offer a symmetrical connection. feel free to go and watch linus tech tips video "your internet is to fast" and make you own mind up Re: Issues with 2.5Gb Unmanaged Switch and 2.5Gb Port I've been with Virgin Media's 1 Gig service for 18 months. Virgin TV360 is like something out of the dark ages versus Sky Stream. Re: Contract Renewal That's a good idea. I am going to do that with my call from the complaints team where he said we don't make money on new customers! I submitted the SAR last week, and I have a YouTube channel. So thanks for the great idea Re: Contract Renewal Same issue, mate. I had everything with Virgin Media, and when I came up for renewal, they wanted £30 more per month than they were charging new customers. I raised it as a complaint and was told that they don't make money on new customers. So, I went with Sky for TV and Virgin for broadband in my wife's name. Both are 18-month contracts, so that means we can always get new customer deals with either company. But sky tv system is so much better than virgins Re: Security certificate error message Do what I did: get rid of Virgin TV and switch to Sky Stream. It was the best job the Virgin Media retention team has done. Every show has the option of starting from the beginning, the apps are flawless, and I even had it working on a 4G connection. Re: Official : VM most complained-about says Ofcom Firstly offshore call centres don't help, I find them polite but hard to understand, they won't digress off the script, it took us over 1 hour to upgrade or package from 125 to 260mb, once 5g improves in my area virgin media is gone!! i have the tv with Sky, sky stream is fantastic, oh and have you seen Virgin Media dent levels How to keep your virgin bill low So, I spent a month trying to get a decent retention deal from Virgin and failed. I canceled my package, as I'm not married, so I had my partner sign up for a new customer deal. Then, I phoned the retentions department and threatened to cancel the new line because of the price, and they reduced it even further. So not only did I get one over on a big company, but I also got it cheaper than I was offering to pay on my original contract! Then Virgin has the cost of me sending back my own equipment and then them sending out the new equipment. Please, somebody tell me how this makes business sense? Oh, and before someone says you can't do this, once my contract expired, I'm not obligated to Virgin in any way, and my partner is definitely not obligated. Re: Latest updates have been released for 360 and Stream boxes (updates 5.06 & 5.07) I am leaving Virgin Media on the 19th, but my Sky Stream equipment arrived the other day, and wow, every program is available to watch from the start. The picture quality is amazing, and then we have Dolby Digital Plus versus Dolby Digital on Virgin. Then the movie channels come with Dolby Atmos. Oh, and Sky Atlantic, how I have missed you! So in hindsight, the Virgin Media retention team has done me a favor. The best thing is, come 18 months with Sky, and if they don't offer me a great deal, I can come back to Virgin and take advantage of a new customer offer, then rinse and repeat.
