One of them I have put into VM address book but it still does it. I always click not spam when I find them in VM spam, but they still get sidelined before reaching my client inbox. Unable to sign in to TV go on PC using Chrome In lieu of channel outage issue on V6 box was hoping to use TV go on PC via Chrome which enables cast to TV. Using this link https://virgintvgo.virginmedia.com/en/settings/language/login I can get it via above - keep getting 'Sign In' but when I click, no sign in email or password boxes come up - just returns to Sign In label . OK using app on Android and ipad, but the apps for those don't have a casting option. How can I sign in via Chrome...? Re: Virgin webmail/email problem again...(ntlworld email) Agreed - also it keeps marking regular senders as spam before they even reach me - then when I flag them not spam they get through to me, but stay showing in spam list at webmail for a while - very confusing. Re: Virgin webmail/email problem again...(ntlworld email) Many thanks for both replies - this has clarified things. Have now managed to access wife's ntl webmail using the 3rd party email address, and have flagged the four word password for use only in email client😊 Virgin webmail/email problem again...(ntlworld email) My wifes email is e.g. 'wife'@ntlworld.com This is one on my main virgin account along with my own ntlworld email A couple of months back she was locked out due to a security flag and having finally reached 2nd line support we went through the complicated process of getting it back - being talked through the convoluted instructions here: https://www.virginmedia.com/dpb/help/change-my-virgin-media-email-address?_gl=1*1spp7hr*_gcl_au*ODM3NzE1MzE1LjE3MTg5NjI4Mzc.*FPAU*ODM3NzE1MzE1LjE3MTg5NjI4Mzc.*_ga*NzMzMjQ2OTgzLjE3MTg5NjI4MzQ.*_ga_7NQRHWTHK9*MTcyMDUzNTQ4NC4xMC4xLjE3MjA1MzU1MjUuMTkuMC4w We were then given a new password (4 x 4 letter words separated by hyphens) which enabled us to continue logging into the original ntlworld address - using our Thunderbird email client. We now want to look at her webmail for ntl adress and the above password we were given is rejected - sending us round the above loop again presumably....? We are waiting for 2nd line support to phone back but they usually phone whilst I'm away from pc.. I just wondered if I'm missing something by trying to sign in using that new password ? Virgin has now started sidelining to spam some regular email senders before they reach our client - hence the need to view on webmail. We are getting fed up with virgin ntl email and are considering changing to outlook email - but ntl has been in use for 15 years or more with very simple names, and it will involve a lot of messing about. Has anyone changed email provider in this way and how is Outlook....? SolvedRe: Just got Hub 5 - Chromecast not recognised? (setting up via ipad gen 10 2022) Sorted it - Chromecast dongle needed resetting as it had old hub/network in its memory. With TV on - Pressed reset button on side of dongle until little light on edge flashed , disconnected mini usb from Chromecast and reconnected. Then dongle was set up from scratch in Home app, connecting to new hub fine. Just got Hub 5 - Chromecast not recognised? (setting up via ipad gen 10 2022) I have a basic Chromecast device a few years old which worked fine on Hub 3 I cant get it to work on Hub 5 - Im going through all the connection instructions on Google Home, Ive rebooted Chromecast by unplugging and disconnecting from TV. Google Home on ipad will see Chromecast but wants me to set it up as a network device on wi fi settings - when I do this it disables internet wi fi? I can then start setting up on Google Home - a short code comes up on TV - Home says can you see code - I click yes but it fails to connect. I've gone to the advanced Chromecast help page via Google Nest...it suggested checking certain settings on Hub - Ive gone in via hub address on pc and the only one of the suggested changes I could find was disable MAC which Ive done. Still cant connect....going round in circles. Im assuming its a hub 5 issue and not ipad as Ive had same failed result on an Android Tablet. Any solution please ? Re: Cannot send from ntlworld email address as of 3 Feb 24 Further to my last message I'm glad to find that reporting via the link has resulted in IP address being unblocked by Virgin, Im pleasantly surprised. Re: Cannot send from ntlworld email address as of 3 Feb 24 Hi - see my additional info supplied in further message...thanks Dave
