However, they did not show up and there were zero communications. several phone calls and multiple different stories (Virgin call centre staff are disgraceful!) and I was told that a new date of 24th December between 12-4 was determined to be acceptable to me. It very much is not acceptable. I managed to extract the automatic compensation, with great difficulty and had to point out repeatedly that the amount was stated on the website. i have also secured early release from my contract, so that I can try to identify a service without these problems. In the meantime, I have a more acceptable technician visit on 27th December (they may even turn up!) There was apparently a major issue in our area 22-23 Dec, which was fixed. Not changed to my issues, had another 16 consecutive T3 timeouts while trying to range on upstream channel 8 last night and lost service. Guess my issue is not fixed It seems that Virgin cannot or will not address my problem and I am genuinely exhausted with having to chase incompetent people to do their job properly. There are now other options for equivalent down/up speeds and I should probably leave, out of principle. My disconnection is scheduled for 21 Jan. I will be checking out alternative providers and giving Virgin the chance to finally resolve my issue Re: Too Many Disconnections! Thanks for the response. I've just had new hub 5 and while they all seem to be pretty poor, there is no difference in behaviour. I really think this is outside of my house - I'll give them this chance to fix it. Back again, in desperation! I've been having problems for months, but in the last few weeks it has become progressively worse. After an engineer visit new Hub 5 and (apparently!) a new connection at the cabinet, it has actually gotten worse. I have requested an outdoor survey, as all the equipment in my house has recently been replaced and have another engineer visit provisionally booked for 22 December. However, I am now at the point where I will be requesting an early exit from my contract, as this really is unacceptable. My previous request for help were not progressed as I was running my hub in modem mode, so I have now switched it back to router mode in the hope that some kind of diagnosis might be possible.
