Re: Two 360 boxes not communicating Having now had time to check both boxes I can confirm that they both have totally different recordings listed on each box, no duplicates at all. My wife actually sets around 75% of the recordings and mainly uses the bedroom box to do this. One thing I did find was that some the recordings that appear only on the lounge box are ones she is adamant she set to record using the bedroom box? Re: Two 360 boxes not communicating I can assure you we do have two full blown 360 boxes. Until last night most recordings could be played on either box, we only got the ‘box in lounge not switched on’ occasionally. Thanks to the post above I can now check which recordings are on which box. last night the lounge box appeared to be working correctly but on the bedroom box some recordings could not be viewed, also it was not possible to delete recordings from this box. This morning the problem seems to have resolved itself so I will now check on which recordings are on each box. EDIT. Using the info from above I can confirm that both boxes have different lists of recordings stored, there may be the odd duplicate but not many that I can see at first glance. Re: Two 360 boxes not communicating Thanks for that, will have a poke around later. Two 360 boxes not communicating We have two full 360 boxes, the one in the lounge was the original box, the bedroom box was added 12 months later. When trying to playback recordings on the bedroom box we occasionally get a warning that we need to turn on the box in the lounge. Today when trying to set a recording on the bedroom box it refused to record saying it could not connect to the lounge box. Now a lot of the recordings will not play on the bedroom box, just a ‘cannot connect to lounge’ comes up. The box in the lounge is switched on and it can play all of these recordings perfectly. Both boxes have been rebooted and a forced software update download has been done on both boxes. The wifi router has also been rebooted. Is there any way we can find out which box any recording is actually recorded on? How can we get the two boxes to talk to each other again? Jim. SolvedRe: 360 box failed completely Brilliant, the first method appears to have worked, I’m guessing it was a forced update as a small downloading arrow appeared onscreen several times and eventually it went into download/update mode and eventually came back on fully. Many thanks for this solution. The ‘Kudos’ button seems to have been removed so I hope a like will suffice. 360 box failed completely In desperation I have to turn to the good people in this forum for help. One of our two 360 boxes has failed completely. It has been acting up for the last few days but has now gone off totally. Several reboots and prolonged unplugging have not solved the problem. If I reboot it I get the Welcome in various languages then the Please wait screen then it just dies with the red light showing. The other 360 box is working perfectly and the wifi is also working. I have just tried my very best to report this fault over the phone but ended up in a loop with Terri Bot that just got ridiculous. Is the any other way for me to report this fault? Jim. SolvedRe: Panels greyed out, can’t access recordings This has just started to happen on one of our two boxes. All of the recordings menu functions very sluggish, greyed out boxes, Error code CS3200 displayed. This happened last night and now seems to have cleared ( for the moment). There are no problems on the other box at the same time. For a while now the picture has failed to come on when box is first switched on, switching the box Off/On is the only way I can get the picture on. Re: No picture when switching on. We have two 360 boxes and the older one has developed this problem recently. Its intermittent but no matter how long I leave it after switching on the only way to get the picture on is to switch the box off and on again. Even more recently the box has developed other issues. Losing WiFi connection even though the signal is strong, stalling or not working at all in the recordings menu. Error codes CS3200 and CS3520 displayed. Rebooting the box has not stopped this from happening. All of this is sporadic and not easy to replicate every time. At all times when this is happening the other box is fine. Box is set to Active Start. Windows Defender trashing wifi download speeds. I did a quick search to see if this topic had been posted, if I have missed it please delete this thread. last week I noticed a few problems with connectivity on my iPad. A speed test (Ookla) showed DL speeds around 40 to 60 mbps. I normally get 250 to 350 over wifi. I rebooted the hub to no avail. Then using the VM Connect app did a hub reset which still made no difference. I then spotted that using Ookla it was showing my provider as Microsoft Azure instead of VM and connecting to a London based server when it normally shows a Manchester one. A bit of digging online pointed me in the direction of Windows Defender and it’s ’Privacy protection’ feature. I did activate this a couple of weeks ago. I disabled this feature and my speeds are flying along once again.
