With the linking of accounts it does make me think that a full merger is on the cards. They got rid of their mobile arm, but now it seems like it's slowly being recreated. Re: Problem with the email linking of Virgin and O2 Managed to get it sorted for her, it's not easy to do. She almost had a problem with the setting up of the Outlook account as it almost would have required her to be able to access the virgin email account before being able to finish setting up an outlook account. I suspect that it'll be the same for Yahoo and GMail. Problem with the email linking of Virgin and O2 My mum has been forced to do the linking of O2 with Virgin for the emails but she's stuck at the bit where you have to enter a backup email address as she doesn't have any other email addresses. It's no good her adding mine as by the time that I log-in to my emails any one time passcode will very likely have expired. Is there a way for her to get around the problem as at the moment she can't access her emails. She doesn't have a mobile on O2 AFAIK, think her mobile is on Vodaphone. SolvedRe: TV connected to Wi-Fi but no internet, fine on hotspot How far away is the TV from the hub? If it's not too far away, that about connecting it via Ethernet? Re: Are Hub 3s being retired? That's the screen that says that my hub needs replacing. I'll check to see if my parent's hub also needs replacing next time I visit them. Re: Are Hub 3s being retired? That's the screen where it shows the hub needs replacing. The next time I'm around my parents house, I'll check to see if their hub also needs replacing. Re: Are Hub 3s being retired? This is the news article: https://www.mirror.co.uk/tech/virgin-media-broadband-router-update-35038937 Are Hub 3s being retired? I saw a news article today about older broadband hubs being replaced. Mine is a Hub 3 and when I went onto the page mentioned in the article to check if mine is included it says that my hub needs replacing. Is the replacement of a hub a self-install or does an engineer have to do it? If the hub 3s are being retired, which generation are they being replaced with? I believe that my parents also have a Hub 3 so the same will apply to them as well. Re: TV guide (V/M box) Are both the hub and the TV box on the same electrical circuit? If they are then you could use powerline adapters, with Ethernet cables from them going to the TV box and the hub. Re: Printer connects to hub via 2G wifi, but only actually prints if you're connected to the 5G band Don't know if it would work but what about using a USB Type-B to Ethernet adapter with the printer?
