In case any didn't pick up the new 5 mins before and 15 mins after setting. I set them up again, and some record with the extra minutes at front and end. Others, like The Night Manager just ignore the extra time. Maybe it’s a BBC thing. I’ll have to test that theory out. Re: Recording issue. End of programme cut Friday night And the Traitors final. Recorded. The recording stooped again before the end of the programme, by a minute or so. Got the outcome and had also recorded the follow up show, the recording of which started with the last minute or so of the Traitors programme. The timings in guides and iplayer look fine and match. Before recording I had set padding to 1 min before and 15 after, but that didnt seem to come into play. Does the fact that I have set record for two consecutive programmes on the same channel have a bearing? I am assuming that the record up to six programmes at the same time applies. I wouldn't expect the same channel, consecutive programmes and padding causing an overlap to cause a problem. Those two back to back programmes were the only recordings I made tonight. Any clues on what the issue might be? Re: Recording issue. End of programme cut I've just found that it is a general setting after all. So that should do the trick. Thank you. Re: Recording issue. End of programme cut I don't believe it’s an overrun. It’s not followed an extended programme earlier, added news show, unscheduled events etc. It feels like the BBC scheduled timing and length for the show differs from that set into VM. I wasn't aware of the padding setting. I will have a look at that for The Traitors later. But as I understand it, there isn’t a general do this for all recordings setting. It’s by individual programme, I think. And perhaps individual episodes rather than for a full series. I don't know which programmes might cut off early and this feels a cumbersome fix for general purposes. But I appreciate the pointer. Recording issue. End of programme cut Hi, This has been happening over recent weeks on my VM360 box. I have only noticed it on BBC programmes, that may be relevant, or coincidence. Some recorded programmes when watched later end before the show has finished. They just stop. For example Thursday 21/1 night’s Traitors. The playback cut off about 1-2 mins before the end of the show. Well before the credits appeared. It’s a critical part of the programme, setting up a bit of a cliffhanger to tease before the next programme. Annoying, doesn't seem like something I can fix at my end. Sure I can view the programme again via iPlayer and scoot to the end to see what I have missed, but that's not really a solution, just an annoying workaround. Hopefully someone can pass it back as feedback. Especially if others have the same issue, which would seem likely. Re: TV on the Go app setting Ok, thanks for the reply. Re the app, yes it cuts audio from same device. I guess it just boils down then to feedback that having an option or setting on the app to stop that happening would be useful. I get that the app allows watching TV, but it could cut other apps at that stage, not whenever it is opened. TV on the Go app setting The TV on the Go app is really irritating in that as soon as I open it on my iphone, any other app like Spotify or BBC Sounds stops it’s play via my Bluetooth speaker. So, if I am listening to some music and want to check what's on TV later, the music stops within seconds of opening the app. I assume it takes over the Bluetooth connection immediately rather than when actually needed to play video/sound/tv. Is there a setting somewhere that can stop this happening? Wifi keeps dropping out several times daily Hi, This is becoming a pattern each day over the last week or so. The wifi drops out regularly during each day. My phone still shows the wifi indicator, but there is no external connection. Service status shows no issues, it either reconnects within a few minutes or a router reboot does the trick. It’s become irritating and disruptive though. I can’t find anywhere to get help other than the constant advice to reboot. Which feels like a sticking plaster on a bigger issue. Is there a way to check what that problem might be and get it fixed? Re: TV on the Go app setting Yeah, sorry, that was poor typing. VM emailed, probably an auto one, to ask if the replies here had helped. On VM mail, the VM Spam filter put the VM email into the SPAM folder. Which is a bit ironic. Back to the issue, the point reother apps was that only the TV on the Go app was this troublesome. Its the only app that cuts the Bluetooth connection for others. Re: TV on the Go app setting Also and as an aside. Virgin Community sent mean email to ask if thereploes here had helped. Then promptly stuck that in the junk email folder as if it was SPAM. Seems a bit of an own goal.
