Voicemail ring time
My virgin landline rings 4 times before voicemail picks up the call. It used to be fun to try to reach the phone in time. Now it’s just annoying! Short version: If there is a helpful VM staff on here who can message me and flip that right switch it would be appreciated. Long version: I see from other posts on the forum it should be possible to increase to about 10 rings. That should be fine. I called 150, spent 20 mins following the menus, waiting, and having nice chat with someone about how, no I don’t want to upgrade my contract, and yes you have my email and mobile number correct. I was finally told that because my landline is the old copper kind rather than fibre then all I need to do is dial *94 and I’ll be able to change the rings. Never seen this in any help or forum posts but the person was confident it would work. I couldn’t test it while on the call because using the line to talk to them. Hung up, dialled *94, nothing. Has it fixed it? Tried all kinds of variations. Just goes back to dial tone.12Views0likes1CommentLandline Voicemail not recording messages
Hi I have noticed my Landline Voicemail is no longer recording messages left. I have tested this by phoning from my mobile and leaving myself a message but the message appears not to have been recorded. The Voicemail says there is a saved message but it is blank when it is played. Thanks97Views0likes6CommentsLandline Voicemail not being picked up
Hi, had recently swapped out an old phone with voicemail after found it wasn't working with landline (also switched over to digital by the engineer) Currently using cheap wired handset with no voicemail, and left it to VM's voicemail Unfortunately it doesn't go to voicemail, just rings - have tried both via mobile and from another landline, and also contacted VM today who said it should be fixed, but it's still not working. Does it take a while to kick in? When I dial 1571, there are options to change the message and general menu but nothing to say if it's active or not. Thanks!488Views0likes1CommentDisable VM Voicemail
This is the second post I have made on this subject. On VMs website it says call 1571 and select Menu and the option to Cancel the VM Voicemail. There is NO option to cancel voicemail? That information is wrong? So I called 150 and it took sometime to speak to an agent, and I asked for Free Voicemail to be disabled on my landline phone. I received an email from VM to say 'We've removed Phone: Voicemail Free'. The next day I called my phone from my mobile, and the voicemail came ON, and was able to leave a message? The landline phone made the beeps to say I had a voicemail? Clearly NOT removed? Why is it VM unable to carry out a simple task? PLEASE REMOVE!616Views0likes1CommentIncoming calls don't ring the landline, caller goes immediately to Voicemail, outgoing calls ok
Hi, I have just had my number ported over from previous supplier. On testing the service I find: Incoming calls do not ring the landline telephone and the caller gets put immediately through to Voice Mail, I can make outgoing calls from the land line as I get a dial tone. If I dial 1571 or 1572 I do enter the menu system making me believe the hardware is all ok! Landline telephone is plugged into top port 1 using the adapter provided on the HUB 3.0. I have turned the hub off then back on which has made no difference. I dont believe a reset will help and am reluctant to do that as ive invested a lot of time setting things up. I would like the voicemail feature disabled please, I read on this forum that VM need to do this for me. Also I am still waiting for a DOCSIS unit to arrive that I was promised when taking out this contract with VM. Look forward to your reply MDG1.2KViews0likes11CommentsLandline is going straight to voicemail without ringing.
Hi, It's been a few days now but as post title says, landline phone is going straight to voicemail. It does not ring. This is odd in itself since I've never found or been able to access voicemail on this handset so assumed I hadn't got that feature. I can phone out though I've only tried ringing my mobile. Yep, straight to voicemail. What's happened?5.2KViews0likes1Comment
