My wife after being in hospital for 20 days came home and found that her ntl.com address deactivated, all her contacts were saved on this , we have spoken to several people at virgin who think that we are all computer wizards which am not, all my wife's contacts were on this, can you help us.85Views0likes5CommentsOutlook Attachments ?
For some reason, a recent email sent to me with a pdf attachment arrived but the email was displaying 14 attachment boxes, 13 of which were just outlook boxes with a desciptor plus the legimate pdf attachment. Despite searching to disable ;whatever, nothing seems to help and I am stuck with this unsightly problem. Any ideas how I can prevent these unwanted outlook attachments showing up alongside the genuine attachment? To add, this is only a very recent occurence.52Views0likes1CommentMail being blocked
Hello, We're a sender trying to get in touch with the postmaster team at Virgin. Emails have gone unanswered so this seems the only alternative. It seems our sending domain and/or sending IPs are being rate-limited by VM, which is leading to bounces. We receive temporary 400 errors, and so our system will automatically retry the messages at various intervals, and most of the mail eventually gets delivered, but there's still a portion that bounces with a 500 error. It's affecting users at virgin.net, virginmendia.com, ntlworld.com and blueyonder.co.uk. I will note that these are Virgin Media subscribers who have a previous relationship with us and have opted in to receive these messages, and many of them are not receiving them because of the aforementioned issues. I can't share the domain/IP publicly, but I would appreciate it if an admin or postmaster could contact me to get this issue sorted out or point in the right direction. Hey everyone, I have an NTLWORLD account for years and now it just attracts spam/phishing attempts so I’d like to just cancel it an delete the account completely. I’m not sure how to do this as I’m not a virgin media customer anymore so can’t go into my account and delete it myself. I have today changed my password for my VM Account (3rd Party email client address) and created a new (3rd Party email client address) and password for my Wifes new VM Account. I have also changed my ******@ntlworld.com app password for my desktop Outlook and phone email apps using the auto generate password for both myself and my wife. In desktop outlook I have changed the paswords for both our *****ntlworld.com email accounts and this works fine (send & receive). I have changed the password on my mobile phone email client and again that works fine. I tried changing the password on my wifes mobile phone (same make & model) but keep getting a message "Couldnt Verify Account" "The username or password is incorrect or POP3/IMAP access isnt turned on for this account. Check your email account settings on the web and try again" I have tried this on the web now using my wifes 3rd Party email client address and its associated password - but i get a window reply "Oops you can't do that right now ...................... etc etc". Ive tried this accessing my own web mail page but also get the same message. Very frustrating when we changed the passwords for security reasons..... Hi - have used my ntlworld email on my android phone for years - no issues - until today where it says "correct credentials needed" at the top of the screen, so I click through the 'sign in' link to land at the sync options page which comes up, my username and password are correct, server is imap.ntlworld.com, port 993, security SSL/TLS - bascially all unchanged in donkeys years and when it tries to validate it says my username or password is incorrect - except that they're the same as they have been...any ideas ? thanks81Views0likes4CommentsAction needed: We are closing your email account
Dear All, This again. Both of my virgin.net email addresses received an email informing me... "As you no longer have Virgin Media services, your Virgin Media email address will become inactive. We’ll close your Virgin Media email account in 30 days on 5 July 2025, which means you won’t be able to access your inbox after that and the contents of your account will be removed and permanently deleted." I went through this in October last year, see Email account closure | Virgin Media Community - 5575366 and Virgin.net email addresses Blocked | Virgin Media Community - 5591660 As stated above, I have been an uninterrupted virgin.net / ntlworld.com / virginmedia.com customer since January 1997. Will somebody at Virgin Media please make a formal association between my legacy virgin.net and ntlworld.com addresses and my current Virgin Media account? I am still paying a three figure sum every month for Virgin Media services I am being told I no longer have. I regained access to my virgin.net mail boxes last October by resetting their passwords and hoped this wouldn't be an issue again. Been NTL and then Virgin account holder for many years. Always had 2 @ntlworld.com email addresses. About 6 months ago one of the email addresses was moved to a different MyVirginMedia login. The other email address stayed with the “main” MyVirginMedia account. Virgin have now deactivated the MyVirginMedia account that was set up to administer the second ntlworld email address. I can’t now access this second email address. My main MyVirginMedia account is fine and the ntlworld email address I access via that account is fine - but I have no way of accessing the second ntlworld email address.36Views0likes1Comment
