Box keeps losing all recordings
Our 360 box keeps losing all its recordings and all scheduled recordings when its powered off. This is about the 4th time now. Tried calling 150 today and none of the menu options seem relevant to this and doesn't seem to be any way to speak to anyone. Pretty fed up with it to be honest. Its far from cheap and the support service isn't great. Can one of the admins on here look into this and log the fault for us?81Views0likes6CommentsWon’t record C5 programs
Hi all I have searched within the forum regarding recordings failing. I have the same sort of issue but it only appears to impact recording C5. I only record two series for my wife and without fail they don’t record at all or record for a few mins and then fail. Received 360 handset information sheet tells you what it does but doesn’t tell you how to make it work . Took me some time to work it out need to activate it through the 360 App an update leaflet with handset would be nice but I still don’t want it . 1 virgin handset turns on TV box and soundbar on but won’t turn soundbar off ! 2 won’t operate TV just virgin 3 TV remote operates TV only so now I need 3 three remotes to operate TV box and sound bar 360 handset won’t link with sound bar error CS9993. 4 search & record guide doesn’t show when show first broadcast 5 360 doesn’t show record live and streaming Option 6 need to now press button 6 times to get to recordings. 7cant record a show from start if the show has already started and I’m sure there will be other differences between the V6 handset and 360 that make 360 worse but I’m told my old V6 had old software that had to be updated At present I don’t like it497Views0likes12CommentsNew episodes only
I can't find a clear answer to this. When setting up a series recording on my Virgin 360 box, I can adjust it using the 'Advanced' option to record 'new episodes only'. Got a new 360 box as virgin wanted me to move to a newer box from v6 box. Three weeks later and still got CS1011 error, online chat and phone calls have been useless. An engineer visited and said that the box wasn't registered to the account, but he couldn't register it (due to a system being down). More chats with Virgin and getting nowhere. We are experiencing issues whilst watching Game of Thrones via Sky Showcase. This isn't the same issues as others have experienced - other have said their screens go black but the sound continues, but for us both sound and picture are cutting out frequently, making the episodes unwatchable. This isn't happening for all episodes but we've recently experienced it during S2Ep8 and 10. We have a Sony TV so this isn't related to the known issues with the LG TVs/Dolby issue. We have restarted/reset everything and amended all available TV and sound display settings but the issue remains. The adverts at the beginning of the programme do not skip at all, but as soon as the HBO logo appears, the programme starts skipping/blacking out, so it must be something to do with the recording itself. using Virgin Media is hell on earth, got the 360 remote sent to me before i had used it ot seems virgin sent the software update to the old box i have ( was told i would get a new box by engineer in late 2023) box was stuck in a loop to the welcome screen, pulled power plug multiple times eventually got the damn thing to start. i hate the new layout for tv guide where is a stop button when watching a show ? had to phone virgin when i tried to login to create an online account to manage our service, to my horro it seems virgin/o2 had created an email address linked to my account i had never heard of or used ! customer support lady said virgin did this, yet because of that its impossible to reset the account as i dont have a password for an email i didnt set up ! you can make up the hell that is trying to deal with virgin media tried again and they ask to send text i type in my phone number and virgin computer voice reads it back to confirm it, i wait and wait and never get a text , next day partner sees text sent to her phone ! how is that even possible to get wrong ? honestly virgin is run by total idiots. then tonight 1030pm 7oct25 tv box will not boot up it gets to welcome screen and shuts off, i call 150 get recorded voice press 1 for this etc, in end virgin thinks offering to send a text is adequate support ! absolute farce form hell we must be given human help, swear to god i am looking for another provider now as im not going to keep paying these idiots £120 pm for a service that keeps being stress to use and provided no human support , likely go to sky for tv and see about a cable internet provider as plenty in area that are faster than virgin lastly how can i get through to a human at virgin to try fix tv service for next week or 2 before i pick another company to switch to ?148Views0likes5Comments
